I know I am not alone with having family members and friends overseas fighting for our country and keeping it safe. As I am not in the military, but do support everything that they do, I have come up with this amazing idea to help the soldiers that come home. As a Thank you for your interest in helping out with the charity calendar. Your donations will be split between 3 different places. The first third will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project, which for every dollar donated, 81 cents is actually sent to the charity. Through the research that the WWP has conducted, over 40,000 solders have come home injured, and another 300,000 have come home with PTSD.

The second third will be put towards the Run to Home Base charity. This charity is put on by the Boston Red Sox as well as Mass General Hospital and just like the Wounded Warriors Project, helps soldiers when they come back from deployment and are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The final portion will be put towards the actual the production of the calendar. Yes, all of the proceeds go to the charities themselves, but the calendar is not free to actually produce. The people that are involved are not taking a payment, not the models, photographers, make up artists or studios. All of their time is being donated to this cause, but the paper and the man hours for the paper company are not being donated.

Calendar

As we get more and more accomplished with the actual calendar itself, we will be adding more and more info. We will also be adding a page for with all of the bios of the people involved, including pictures of the models, and links to people's work so that if you ever need one of their services, you can get ahold of them.

It is going to be a 15 month calendar, starting with October, 2011 and will go till December, 2012. We have a lot of amazing people involved with the project and we are extremely excited about it. We will also be putting together a DVD of behind the scenes footage from the shoots, interviews with the models. Also to add some more depth to the DVD, we will be interviewing some soldiers to see how they feel about this project.

When the calendar is released, we will also be having a release party at a bar in Boston. Not sure which one as of now, but when that info is decided upon, the site will be updated and the people that donated, will also be alerted if they wish to be. We are taking pre-orders, and will continue to take orders until they are all gone.
